3 :
Disneyland is in Anaheim so that's good. Also Seaworld and Legoland are in San Diego
4 :
How about Disneyland? San Diego Zoo? Marine World? Lego World? Knott's Berry Farm?
5 :
Awesome drive along the coast & beaches. And check out Belmont Park in Mission Beach. It's a beach front amusement park. Lots of fun!
6 :
tacho bell (: if your a fan of blink 182 i recomend you go there at about 12pm you are likely to see Mark Hoppus eating in there
7 :
Sea World in San Diego Six Flags in Valencia Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park
8 :
well it's only about a 2 hour drive from san diego to anaheim and there are not a lot of major cities along the way. i suppose you could go to a beach along the way like san clemente or laguna or newport they are very nice areas
9 :
If you have tiny tots, head to LegoLand! In Carlsbad. La Jolla is an artists community -- Google it for tours/studios, etc. Balloon rides over the vineyards in Temecula.
10 :
citadel outlet mall boob nuclear power generators camp pendleton so you can either buy stuff, watch stuff get blown up or have stuff blow you up. So DRIVE FAST!!

Car...you get to see more of what you want. If you see something pretty, you can easily pull over and explore different areas. Also, you don't have to worry about scheduling and missing the train.
2 :
Car, with a train you can see beautiful views, but if you see something you like it's not like you can tell the conductor "hey man stop for like 10 minutes so i can check this place out. kthanx" haha ya know so stick wih a car. Have fun :)
3 :
California can only be appreciated by car. The traffic is the only downside. Try not to be on the road during rush hour!
4 :
Going to those places a car is preferable. The coast train is a wonderful ride but The places you are talking about are inland.

About Is AAA good for their travel agent services

Is AAA good for their travel agent services?
Still trying to plan our Disneyland vacation where we plan to spend half in Anaheim, half in either Carlsbad or San Diego. I am getting frustrated trying to find a high rated, reasonably priced hotel and deal with tickets to the places we want to go, etc. I have never used a travel agent before and am wondering is it worthwhile - Cost and for good planning?

Not to brag, but AAA is great for most travel services. Once you speak to a travel agent, you will most likely get the best prices available and be assured that your reservations are completely safe. Another thought: If you are a AAA member, you can use your AAA card and save at lots of places like departments stores, restaurants, etc. Last year, I made my reservations locally to stay in San Diego to go to Sea World. I saved on the hotels and other activities down in San Diego to basically cover the cost of a one year membership at AAA. I have been a AAA member for almost 30 years also.

What clothing should I pack for Anaheim in April?
I am traveling from NJ to Anaheim and Los Angeles for the 1st week of April. My girlfriend and I are doing Disney, Universal, Dodger Stadium. Since we've been covered in snow up here, we're dreaming of shorts in CA... but I have a feeling its jeans and jacket weather. What weather should we expect this time of year?

Tank top, shorts, a money belt cuz you'll probably get mugged, probably some jeans and one good hoodie would be smart. And a taser. XP

do the anaheim angels and the st louis cardinals take a plane or bus when they travel??
its for a report....

1 :
They all take planes, you often have less than 24 hours to get to the next city as there are very few travel days built in.
2 :
Every team takes planes, unless they are very close to their opponent (which doesn't happen much).
3 :
Last time the Angels took a bus somewhere, they got in a terrible accident and Chuck Finley had to save a bunch of guys from the wreckage. No joke, it really happened. Look it up sometime. Since then- planes, baby.
4 :
Yes, but not at the same time. First the bus to the airport and then the plane, and then the bus to the hotel.
5 :
They take a airplane that is owned and operated by some private company that caters soley to the sport industry. Some teams not just baseball teams use this service, while some own their own planes.

I always recommend The Candy Cane Inn or the Howard Johnson, which are right down the street from Disneyland on Harbor. They are both a step above most of the other lodgings, which are basically motels. The CCI and HoJo both offer superior rooms, service, pool, and value in comparison to the other hotels in the area. If you need a suite, you may want to check out the Towneplace Suites, which are a couple blocks away, or the Park Vue Inn.
2 :
try... www.anaheimoc.org
3 :
I agree, the Candy Cane Inn is really good. I have stayed there quite a few times while visiting Disneyland. One room was able to accommodate my parents, my brother and I. They used to be right near the front entry to Disneyland, but now with the California Adventure expansion, there is a short walk. They also offer shuttle services (for the lazy)
4 :
my favorites are the howard johnson and the anabella hotel. anabella offers free breakfast to go along w/ your vacation! and fyi if you are walking from the anabella to disneyland, the quickest route is through the grand californian hotel:) hope this helps, enjoy ur vacation!
5 :
depends your price range but their are aplenty hotels & motels around disneyland. =]] i stood at the jollyrogers hotel.
6 :
Consider buying an annual pass and you can stay at the Disneyland Hotel for discounted rates. Disney Visa also has a deal for cheaper rates. I think around $149 a night. If you are planning on staying onsite: You can go onto www.disneyland.com to look for vacation packages. AAA also has packages. I think Costco and Sam's Club might have packages too.If you plan to come often you can buy an annual pass. Then next year you can plan your vacation one month earlier that way you can still use your annual pass. They also offer cheaper room rates to annual passholders. You can also check Ebay for cheaper tickets. If you decide to stay offsite: Try to find a hotel off of South Harbor north of Disney Way and south of South Manchester. There are a lot of smaller hotels there. That is nearer the main gate. They also have IHOP, McDonalds and a few other restaurants in close walking distance. If you stay here you will be closer to the main gate than the people who park and ride the tram in. My friend stayed at one off of W. Katella and she said it was a long walk to the park. Unless you want to stay at one that has a shuttle...but then you have to rely on their timing. You can also get into the park off of South Disneyland Drive but that is where all of the Disney Resorts are. You could drive and park but keep in mind parking onsite at Disneyland is $12 a day Another thought is a time share. You can get free tickets and cheap stay but you have to go watch their presentations. Here are some websites to ones I found for hotels and motels on S Harbor: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/la... http://www.hojoanaheim.com/ http://www.discoverourtown.com/hotel/909... http://www.discoverourtown.com/hotel/444... http://www.discoverourtown.com/hotel/266... http://www.discoverourtown.com/hotel/350... I am sure there are more...but thought this would help you get started.

you can go to midevil times its a dinner/show its 65 a person and you can go to the pirate show its about 50 per person call in advance for either for show listings. also go to knots berry farm and find snoopy lol its near by maybe 20min away
3 :
Downtown Disney has shops and restaurants. Disneyland is often open until midnight (or sometimes 2 AM), so even if you arrive late, you have plenty of time to visit the park. Check the operating hours for your visit.
4 :
I would suggest saying put. There is so much to do in the Disney hotels and in Downtown Disney that it's silly to try to plan another activity - better to save your energy for the parks the next day! When you check in to your hotel, you'll be given a list of activities at that property as well as an entertainment guide for Downtown Disney. If you are staying at either the Disneyland Hotel or the Paradise Pier, be sure to check out the Grand Californian's entertainment schedule as well, because they have storytime/singing in the evenings at the big fireplace in the lobby. There is great shopping, people watching, and restaurants in Downtown Disney; for example, there's a huge ESPN Zone, a very big Lego store, a huge movie theatre, the second largest Disney Store in the world, tons of fun restaurants, concerts often at House of Blues - one afternoon and evening isn't enough time to explore it all! The hotels also have nice pool areas; even if it's cold and rainy, the hot tubs are still open! Have a great time on your trip!

About Traveling to Anaheim, Cali the day after Christmas.

Traveling to Anaheim, Cali the day after Christmas.?
I'm from Mississippi and traveling to Anaheim, Cali the day after Christmas and coming back on New Year's Eve. How is the weather compared to how it is in Mississippi? Would it be smart to wear shorts? What all should i pack?
Other - United States - 2 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
You'll probably need to pack a little of everything. The weather will most likely be in the 60's or 70's in the afternoon, and lower in the evening. I would bet that a light jacket is the most you will need. The Weather Channel will give you the week long forecast for the area. My wife and I went to Disneyland during Thanksgiving weekend a few years back and it was never cold. However, the ocean will be cold, so count that out.
2 :
Anaheim temps are not very different from Mississippi right now, maybe a little warmer. During the day it gets to 65-70F, and at night drops to around 40F. It starts getting cooler around 6 pm at this time. Wearing shorts during the day seems reasonable, if you change into something warmer before dinner/evening. Generally a light jacket should be enough. There isn't much rain here.

Go to the Los Angeles forum and ask "Obviousman." He knows Anaheim and the surrounding Disneyland community better than anyone else on the planet. Email him directly if you choose to do so. That's why he's #1 in the travel section.

call greyhound. you will do better that way

Well, to get from Anaheim to San Diego, I would suggest the Amtrak. Getting from the zoo to sea world is doable on public transportation, I'm not a big fan of our bus system here, it can take quite awhile to get any where, but it's available. Try the trolley, you can catch it downtown and take it to sea world. Here's some websites that might help. www.amtrak.com www.sdcommute.com (has info on bus and trolley system)
3 :
I second the amtrak suggestion...I did it before and it worked out real well...
4 :
If you're traveling by car: Leave Anaheim on the San Diego Freeway (I-405) South. Stay on the Diamond Lane (extreme left -- it's car pool, for 2 or more in the car, which is you!) When you are about the leave Irvine, I-405 merges with I-5 and becomes one freeway: I-5. Depending on how fast you're driving, and the traffic, you should get to the Sea World Drive offramp (off I-5) in 70-85 minutes. Turn right, and remain on the right lane, following the signs into Sea World. Sea World to the Zoo: Retrace your route out of Sea World and follow the signs to the I-5 South ramp. About 2-3 minutes later, you'll see the I-8 East ramp. Take it (it's on the right). About 3-4 minutes later, you will take Interstate 163 (South) on the right lane. Go uphill, and get onto the 2nd left lane (there are 4 lanes, the 2nd is the best, although the fast lane (#1) is ok. Go 3-4 minutes and when you see the huge bridge towering over the highway, get onto the right lane, and prepare to take the I-5 South ramp. Stay on the 2nd of two right lanes, because you will NOT get onto I-5, but get off on Park Blvd. At the stop light, turn left. It's Park Blvd. Go uphill, and get on the left lane. Follow the signs to Zoo Drive, and turn left. There you are! IMPORTANT: I would STRONGLY discourage going to Sea World and the Zoo in one day. You will not only be rushed, but there is so much to enjoy. (Better to do it in two days). However, IF you insist on doing it in one day -- make sure you arrive at Sea World as early as possible -- I believe they open at 10 a.m., but they might open at 9 a.m. I'd say 10. Limit yourself to just a few attractions. (Know what you want to do). And then leave for the Zoo. It's very expensive to go to Sea World, blow $30-plus and then leave, just to make 2 places in one day. But, it's your vacation. Take care! Shalom & blessings.

Whats the best way to travel from LAX with a toddler but no toddler seat?
We won't be travelling to Anaheim so won't be able to get the Disneyland express or any of those, and not having a toddler car seat really limits our choices of transport
Los Angeles - 5 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Child Car seats is not a requirement on LA taxis, shuttles, buses or trains. Depending on where you are going, you can take any of those modes of transportation from LAX. Here is more information on each. http://www.socalthemeparks.com/socal-airports.php
2 :
Just rent a car. Rental car companies all have child safety seats. I've had great luck with Enterprise, but they all have them. I could give better advice if I knew where you were going. If you are going from LAX to Union Station, you can take the Flyaway bus from the arrival level to Union Station for $5. From there, you can take the red line subway, metrolink train, or Amtrak train. Public transit vehicles like busses don't require a toddler seat.
3 :
Well, maybe if you told us where you will be going rather than where you won't be going, we might be able to answer.
4 :
The bus, shuttle, metro (bus to the metro), or a taxi with a car seat (way too expensive though). You cannot drive in Los Angeles with a toddler out of a car seat--you'll get a huge ticket.
5 :
You could rent a car. The rental companies have car seats for an additional fee.
